This notification provides an update to our previous advisory regarding the Intermodal Fuel Fee applicable in Slovenia.
The recent surge in global energy prices, amplified by the evolving security situation in the Middle East and its impact on global fuel availability, continues to place significant pressure on logistics and intermodal transport markets. With approximately 20% of global fuel passing through the Strait of Hormuz, current developments have created an unprecedented cost environment affecting landside (inland) and intermodal operations.
To ensure service continuity, safeguard cargo integrity and secure sufficient vendor capacity across our network, A. P. Moller – Maersk will implement temporary, cost-reflective energy and fuel price adjustments for landside transportation.
Effective from 15th October 2026, based on the Price Calculation Date (PCD), and until further notice, the Intermodal Fuel Fee (IFS) for Slovenia will be updated as follows:
- Truck: 8 %
From 15th October 2026, IFS for all new import bookings will be calculated automatically based on the applicable rate on the Price Calculation Date (PCD). Import shipments that are not yet covered by the PCD-based calculation and for which IFS has not already been charged will continue to be charged manually in accordance with the current process (based on delivery date).
