At Maersk, we are committed to keeping you informed about operational changes that may affect your supply chain and supporting you in making well-informed planning decisions.

What is changing?

Effective 15 October 2026, Maersk is updating the operational timeline for automatic cancellation of eligible bookings that have not materialised.

Under the updated timeline, an eligible shipment may be automatically cancelled where five days or more have passed since the first vessel’s estimated time of departure (ETD) and the shipment has not materialised.

This change is intended to enable unused capacity to be released earlier and support more effective capacity management and transport planning across our network.

We encourage customers to monitor their bookings and promptly contact Maersk Customer Service where a shipment is expected to proceed but may be affected by the updated timeline.

If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback regarding this update or a particular booking, please contact your local Maersk Customer Service representative.

Thank you for your understanding and continued partnership. We look forward to continuing to support your business and supply chain needs.
