To ensure full compliance with EU, US, UK, and other applicable sanctions regulations, as well as our internal compliance framework, Hapag-Lloyd has updated its standard Bill of Lading clause regarding Russia, Belarus, and Iran.

This updated clause strictly prohibits any direct or indirect involvement in the transport, export, re-export, or import of cargo originating from, or destined for, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, or the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Effective immediately, this updated clause will automatically apply to transport documents when the Port of Loading (POL) and/or Port of Discharge (POD) is in one of the following countries:

• Qatar
• Kuwait
• Saudi Arabia
• Bahrein
• Iraq
• Oman
• Syria
• Egypt
• Yemen
• Pakistan
