We would like to inform you of an upcoming change to our Asia - East Coast South America network. Following a joint decision between Maersk and CMA CGM, the current cooperation on the ASAS2 service will come to an end. The last voyage operated under this arrangement will depart Shanghai on 8 December 2026, voyage 650W.
While ASAS2 will be discontinued, we are pleased to reaffirm Maersk's continued commitment to the East Coast South America trade through our ASAS service, which remains a fully Maersk-operated and Maersk-controlled product.
What this means for our customers
- ASAS continue to operate as normal. Customers can continue to book cargo with Maersk without interruption.
- Maersk will maintain full operational control of the ASAS service.
- Existing coverage between Asia and East Coast South America will continue through our ASAS network.
- Maersk remains fully committed to serving customers in this trade and providing reliable, market-leading transportation solutions.
The ASAS service has established itself as a strong and resilient product connecting Asia and East Coast South America, and this change reinforces Maersk's ability to independently manage and further develop the service in line with customer needs and market requirements.
